On Thursday, August 24, 2023, the Manager of Yayasan EMKAY, Nurhanisah Mohd Mokhtar, together with the Head of Corporate Communication Department and Stakeholder Management Officer of the EMKAY Group, Mr. Sam Kamar Osman, visited the Office of the Director of the Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) for the States of Perak and Kedah, Mr. Hairulnizam Abd Rahman.
This courtesy visit provided an opportunity for Yayasan EMKAY to present the current status of the Belum-Temengor Orang Asli Community Development Program and propose the budget allocation for the year 2024. The Director welcomed the existing plans and suggested that Yayasan EMKAY align this upcoming program with JAKOA under the 'Perak Sejahtera 2030' initiative to uplift the Orang Asli in the state of Perak, especially in the Hulu Perak region, involving education and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs.
As a token of appreciation, Mr. Sam, representing Yayasan EMKAY, presented a certificate of appreciation for the continuous cooperation and support from JAKOA for the States of Perak and Kedah since the introduction of the Saya Boleh! Program in 2010. Thank you, JAKOA!
