Yayasan EMKAY (YE) was founded on 12th January 2001 by its founder, the late YBhg Tan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Haji Mustapha Kamal Bin Haji Abu Bakar, with a mission to continue their philanthropic work and help people in need, especially those living on the fringes of developed areas. Since its inception, YE has been dedicated to five major areas: education, health, religion, social welfare, and sports. However, YE will no longer contribute under the sports category due to the latest guidelines issued by the IRB.
After 22 years since its establishment, the YE has planned to review and discuss its vision, mission, objectives,and sustainability in accordance with current guidelines and policies. All board trustees and invited guestscontributed their ideas and perspectives for improving the foundation's new direction. One of the topicsdiscussed during the roundtable session was "Towards a Sustainable Future," which was continued in the 45thBoard of Trustees Meeting.
On October 5th, 2023, the Roundtable took place at the Cyberview Lodge & Spa in Cyberjaya, Selangor. YBhg. Dato’ Hjh Fazwinna Tan Sri Mustapha Kamal delivered the opening remark on behalf of the family of theLate Tan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Hj Mustapha Kamal Hj Abu Bakar. Dato’ Fazwinna pledged her wholehearted supportand expressed her eagerness towards collaborative efforts to uphold the legacy of the Late Tan Sri MustaphaKamal.
The management would like to express their gratitude to all Board Trustees; YBhg.
