Yayasan EMKAY
Yayasan EMKAY was established on the 12th of January 2001 by its founder, the late YBhg Tan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Haji Mustapha Kamal Bin Haji Abu Bakar and his wife, as a means for continuing their philanthropic work to help people in need, especially those living on the fringes of developed areas.
Tributes
In order to help individuals in need, especially those who live outside of developed communities, Yayasan EMKAY was founded as a platform for giving back to society. After being in the company (EMKAY Group) for more than 15 years (back in 2001), the late Tan Sri Mustapha Kamal felt that it was time for him to "give" back to society and humanity. He was incredibly grateful to God for the opportunity to give back to society through a variety of initiatives, including zakat or tithing on an annual basis and the CSR projects i.e. community development programme, dialysis centres, scholarship programme, etc; which he spearheaded with his team through his foundation, Yayasan EMKAY.
